There were two other births
reported, but the name of the father and
mother was not returned.
One of these was premature;
the other illegitimate, the mother in the
latter being but sixteen years old.
It will be observed in the
above that the county, outside the city,
shows but few births.
The reason of this is that
very few of the physicians in Greenville,
Lafayette and Georgetown township have made the returns required by
law.
These returns should have all
been made to the Secretary of the county
Board of Health,
Dr. John L. Stewart, by today.
In the list of births above given the
boys are far in the lead,
