Gottlieb Taskey aged 79 years occupation Brick Maker do declare on oath that my personal
description is color white, complexion Light, height 6 feet 2 1/2 inches weight 180 pounds,
color of hair grey, color of eyes hazel, other visible distinctive marks none
I was born in West Prussia, Germany on the 20th day of April; anno Domini 1839. I now reside
at Seymour, Indiana, 126 Pine Street. I emigrated to the United States of America from Bremren, Germany
on the vessel Rebecca; my last foreign residence was West Prussia, Germany. I am married; the
name of my wife is Sophia Taskey; she was born at Beardstown, Illinois  and now resides at 126 S. Pine
Street. Seymour, Indiana. It is my bona fide intention to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any
foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, and particularly to William II German Emperor of whom
I am now a subject. I arrived at the port of New Orleans in the State of Louisiana on or about the 25th
day of December, anno Domini 1850; I am not an anarchist; I am not a polygamist, nor a believer in the
practice of polygamist nor a believer in the practice of polygamy; and it is my intention in good faith
to become a citizen of the United States of America and to permanently reside therein
