HILL CEMETERY Located on the west side of 100E approximately 2/10 mile north of 1500N in Perry Township, Miami County, Indiana. It is in a woods presently owned by Albert Young, Rural Route 1, Akron, Indiana. There was evidence of about 13 graves in the one-acre cemetery in 1929, but tradition points to no less than 50 burials. The cemetery is owned by the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, which originally was located a short distance west of the cemetery. The church was razed around 1870, and a new one was built approximately one mile west and a little north of the cemetery. There have been few, if any, burials in the cemetery since 1870. On October 10, 1976 Jean C. and Wendell C. Tombaugh found only one marker standing. A thick Ivy ground covering over the entire cemetery completely obliterated any evidence of any other markers. The ground is uneven. Indicating the possibility of more graves or at least removal of several bodies to other cemeteries. SMITH, A. W., Corp1!., Co.
