CARMICHAEL

The funeral of Wesley Carmichael will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the residence 1130 west Sixth street.  Services will be conducted by Jacob Carmichael and Rev. Whitman, Interment at Rose Hill.  The pall bearers are: Parker Torrence, Joseph Neill, William Weaver, William Gray, Frank Carpenter and James Freeman. – Bloomington Evening World, Wednesday, 11 May 1904

CHANDLER

Carrie, the 10 months old daughter of Isaac Chandler, southeast of town, died this morning of dysentery. – Bloomington Telephone, 22 Nov 1901, page 001

Mrs. Mary Eliza Chandler, well known colored resident of this city, died at 2:55 p. m. today at the family residence, 910 West Seventh Street. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Bethel A. M, E. church of which she was a member. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery. The 68-year-old mother was the wife of Thomas (Top) Chandler who for many years was employed at the McDaniel Furniture Store. They were the parents of two children, Mrs. Chrystabelle Beal of Bloomington and Mrs. Forest Baxter of Owensburg, Kentucky. Mrs. Chandler is also survived by the aged mother, Mrs. Josephine Clasby, and by two sisters, Mrs. Estella Witcher and Mrs. Etta Mitchell, all of Indianapolis. – World Telephone, 12 March 1946

CHRONISTER

The infant child of Jno. Chronister and wife died Saturday of brain fever.  Rev. J. W. Baker conducted the funeral exercises. – The Bloomington World, 25 January 1894, Page 005

CLARK

Mrs. Christy Clark, an aged lady living near Unionville died last night.  The funeral will be held Thursday at the residence in charge of Rev. C. W. Whitman.  The body will be brought to Rose Hill for interment. – Bloomington Evening World, 05 Oct 1904

COLE

CRANE

The wife of Thomas F. Crane. Died Tues., May 6, 1924. Age 37. Leaves a husband and six children. Burial at Payne Cemetery. - Bloomington Daily Telephone, 07 May 1924.

CREWS

Mrs. Lottie Crews, 53 years of age, wife of Andy Crews, died at 10:30 Saturday night at her home in the BETHEL neighborhood, north of the city. She had been ill several weeks, suffering from heart disease.  She was born in this county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Meadows, deceased, and had spent her entire life here.  Mrs. Crews had lived in the BETHEL neighborhood for a number of years and was a member of the BETHEL M. E. church. She is survived by the husband, three sons, Howard Crews, salesman for the University Chevrolet Company, George William Crews and David Crews, all living in this city, and five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Henry, of this county, and Vernice, Rose, Maxine and Velma Crews at home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the BETHEL church and interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. CRUM

David Crum died Friday at his home in Indian Creek township of complication of troubles.  He was 70 years of age and had been a helpless invalid for almost 20 years. – Bloomington Telephone, 01 April 1902
