EDWARDS
Mrs. Dessie Della Edwards, 72-year old mother of nine children, died last night at 9:30 at her home on Route Six, after a two months illness of heart disease. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock with interment at Valhalla. She was the wife of John T. Edwards, a farmer of the Cross Roads Church community. She was born in Greene County on February 9, 1874. She was a member of the Followers of Christ. Survivors include five sons, Russell Sanborn, Rodney, Chester, Winford and George Edwards four daughters, Mrs. Birdie Culross, Mrs. Wilma Hamm, Mrs. Myrtle Hamilton, and Mrs. Estes Thompson, all of Monroe County. She also leaves two brothers, Oscar and Harry Sanborn and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Pryor and Mrs. Otis Brinegar, all of this county, and 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. – World Telephone, 08 March 1946
ELLER
Mrs. John G. (Laura) Eller died January 16, 1924 at age 69. Her husband survives, also a son, Frank, and two daughters, Mrs. Dolph Rawlins and Mrs. S. C. Sadler. Burial was in the Eller Cemetery. – Bloomington Daily Telephone, 17 January 1924
Sarah Eller, wife of George Eller, died at her home at Cross Roads Thursday night. She was 78 years old and has been suffering with the gripp for several days. Deceased was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss. The remains were interred in the Eller graveyard Saturday morning at 10:30. – Bloomington Telephone, 20 February 1894
ELLETT
HELTONVILLE - Melvena Rose (Deckard) Ellett, 50, (28 Sep 1954 – 17 Aug 2005) of Heltonville, died Wednesday at her residence. She had worked at RCA. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Ellett; one son, Vernon James Ellett of Bloomington; one daughter, Tonya Renee Ellett of Bedford; her mother, Margaret Bagley of Heltonville; and one sister, Joyce Howe of Heltonville. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Heltonville. Burial will be at Allen’s Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today and Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ellett family in care of the funeral home. – Herald Times, 19 August 2005
