TAYLOR
Artie M. Taylor died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Nancy Taylor near Byron September 7. Her death is attributed to consumption and took place after about a week's serious illness. The funeral services at the home were conducted by Rev. Albert Tomlinson of Kingman. The body was interred at Fisher Cemetery Wed afternoon. She was about 11 years old and of a lovable disposition. - Waveland Independent, September 11, 1903
Harrison Taylor died on Sunday of consumption. He was one of the best known of the old soldiers here and many friends have been pained to see his gradual decline for years, but he met the end with a serene trust in Christ. Born in 1837, he was 60 years old. August 2, 1861 he enlisted in Co., A, 31st Ind. Vol., and three years later he veteranized in the same company, serving till the end of the war. He was captured at Franklin, Tenn., and remained a prisoner in the hell on earth, Libby prison, for five months. At the close of the war he was married at Terre Haute to Miss Mary Catherine Shewmaker, who survives him. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Christian church, Rev. Mr. Jones delivering the address, and at the cemetery he was laid to rest by the A. J. Downing Post No. 467, G. A. R. of which he was a member. - Rockville Republican March 3, 1897
TEAGUE
Margaret Strickler TEAGUE was born October 26, 1839; departed this life January 26, 1911, age 71 years 3 months. She was converted at an early age and united with the UB Church where she was a faithful and consistent member until the Marshall Baptist Church was organized when she placed her membership there, remaining a member until death. She was married to Samuel Martin Teague July 2, 1875. To them were born 11 children 7 of whom with husband, 12 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren, one sister, one half sister and two half brothers survive. Her illness covered a period of 22 months, being confined to her room 13 months. She was patient thru her suffering realizing her illness to be fatal. Over a year ago she made complete arrangements for her funeral and ever since has been anxiously waiting for the time to come when she could be at rest.

THOMAS
A. L. Thomas died at his home near Bellmore on February. 25, 189 aged 72 years 9 months 25 days. Albert Lyman Thomas was born in Saratoga County, New York April 30, 1817 and moved with his father's family to Fayette County, Indiana in 1825. In the spring of 1852 he moved to Parke County and settled on the farm where he died. In 1841 he married Harriet Dale. To them were born four sons, three daughters of whom one son and one daughter area dead. Death entered his household again, August 11, 1871 and deprived him of the companion of his youth. March 11, 1873 he married Sarah F. Wilmet who survives him. Early in life he joined the Regular Baptist Church and February 23, 1855, he united with the Baptist Church at New Discovery by letter, September 18, 1858, he and his wife together with eight others were dismissed from New Discovery to organize union Church at Hollandsburg of which he was a member at the time of his death. His knowledge of the Bible and of church policy was equal to if not superior to that of anyone else in his community. During his last illness, which commenced October, he suffered greatly. He knew that death was near and met the summons. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. K. Fuson and remains of the deceased were buried at Mt. Moriah. - Rockville Republican, 05 March 1890
Clifford C. Thomas, of Indianapolis, formerly of Rockville, died at 8:30 p.m., January 30 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a short illness. Mr. Thomas had worked at the Indiana State Sanatorium many years ago and was with the State Farm Bureau in Indianapolis for 35 years. Survivors include the widow, Bonnie Thomas; three brothers, Joe J. Thomas of Rockville, Jesse Thomas of Milligan, and Chester Thomas of Marshall and one sister, Mary Maenhout of North Liberty. Services will be held at 2:30 today [Thursday] at the Conkle Funeral Parlor, Speedway, with interment in Washington Park, North. – Rockville Tribune, 03 February 1966
Floyd Bain THOMAS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas, was born October 3, 1898; died March 26, 1909, age 10 years 4 months and 23 days. Early in the morning of the fatal day, he went to the barn to attend the lambs. After being gone longer than usual his father went to search for him and found him lying unconscious near one of the horse's feet. He lingered until 3:30 when he past peacefully away. Floyd, as he was familiarly known was faithful to every charge, always ready to leaves his play to obey any call from his parents. He was the pride of his mother's heart, obedient to his teacher, kind and loving to his school mates. He leaves his father and mother, brother and sister besides a host of friends and neighbors to mourn his sad and sudden death. Although Floyd is gone he still lives in our hearts and we know that his pure little souls is with the one who love shim far better than any earthly parent ever could love, but it is hard to think so now. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church at Hollandsburg last Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interment at Mt. Moriah, Rev. C. O. Sherrill of Otterbein UB Church officiated.
The mortality among our old citizens lately has been very great: The deaths are recalled of Mrs. Harry Boyd, of Nyesville; Alex Buchanan, of Judson; Abram Collings of Green township; Alex Puett, Miss Jane Gilkerson, Mrs. Mary Whipple, Jas. S. Rogers and Mrs. Dr. W. D. Thomas, of Rockville. THOMPSON
Charles A. Thompson, age 63, died suddenly at 5:15 p. m. Saturday at his home in Montezuma, as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Thompson was born on July 28, 1874, the son of Riley and Mary Thompson, and came to live in Indiana 45 years ago. For the past six years he has operated an oil station at Montezuma. Prior to that he had served as postmaster at Rockville for nine years, four years as chairman of the Parke County Republican central committee and for four years as sheriff of Parke County. He was a member of the First Methodist church of Rockville and the Masonic lodge. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Rosa Thompson; a daughter, Mrs. Henry McCalment, and two granddaughters of Montezuma, and two sisters, Mrs. Clemmie Henderson and Mrs. Janie Snow, both living in Ohio. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the residence, with the Rev. A. L. Vermilion officiating. Interment was in the Roselawn Cemetery. - Rockville Tribune, April 20, 1938
Parke Lee Thompson of South Bend, age 81, died in South Bend Osteopathic Hospital, Thursday evening May 6. He was a member of the South Bend First Christian Church, was a veteran of World War I and had retired from Uni-Royal Company. Surviving are the widow, Pearl; and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Overpeck and Mrs. Madge Powers, both of Rockville. Funeral services were held at Barnes Mortuary this morning [Monday] with Rev. James O. Trousdale officiating. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery. - The Rockville Republican, 10 May 1976

Mrs. Sarah Bryant Thompson, Sarah Marie Bryant, was born in Rockville, November 8, 1837 and died February 15, 1912, at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 7 days. She was the oldest daughter of Judge William P. Bryant and Marie Bryant who were among the earliest residents of Rockville. She was married to George W. Thompson, June 4, 1855, four children being born to this union, one of whom, Mrs. W. N. Wirt, survives her. Funeral services were held at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. W. N. Wirt, Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. W. B. Chancellor officiating. – Rockville Republican, 21 February 1912
TOLIN
George Tolin, age 67, well know Parke County man, died suddenly at his home here Wednesday afternoon. He became ill while attending the funeral of his neighbor, Martin McBride, and was taken to his home where death occurred a short time later. The son of John A. Louisa Tolin, he was born May 10, 1881, in Florida Township. Survivors include the widow Anna; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Hookey of Rosedale and Mrs. Georgianna Olds of Lafayette." - Rockville Tribune May 20, 1948
TRUMP
Martha A. Trump, daughter of Armistead and Anna Cox, was born in Boyle County, Kentucky, March 4, 1851, and departed this life July 20, 1914, age 63 years. She was married to Thomas Trump April 15, 1865. To this union were born 16 children, 9 boys and 7 girls, 5 girls and two boys having preceded their mother across the river of death. The deceased leaves to mourn their loss 2 girls, 7 boys, 42 grandchildren and 11 great -grandchildren. Mrs. Trump was afflicted for 18 weeks, during which time she suffered very much but bore her affliction patiently and was often heard to sing some hymn as expressive of her faith in him whom she confided as her Redeemer. In 1868 or '69 she united with Pisgah M. E. church and held a letter with this church until death. She was devoted to her family and was not only a mother of a large family but assisted in the raising of several grandchildren. Thus ended the life of a good neighbor, a devoted wife, a loving mother and a friend to the needy. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. S. Dawson of Morton, after which the body was laid to rest in the Pisgah cemetery. - Rockville Republican, September 23, 1914
Mrs. Rose Trump, age 82, died in the Donna nursing home in Cloverdale, Saturday evening, July 20. She was the widow of ‘Bill’ Trump and had lived in Parke County several years. Survivors include a son, William E. of Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held, Tuesday morning, at the Whitaker funeral home in Greencastle with burial in the Clinton Falls Cemetery. - Rockville Republican, July 25, 1968
TSCHISCHECK
Ida Myrtle, daughter of Wm. H. and Jane Sheets Cuthbert, was born January 2, 1875 at Hollandsburg and died at the home of her brother, Dr. F. S. Cuthbert at Kingman Ind. August 9, 1909 age 34 years 7 months 7 days. She was married to Franklin L. Cox July 26, 1897 and they lived happily together for 1 1/2 years when he was called to the home Beyond after a few hours sickness. One child was given to this union - Franklin Cuthbert, who survives his mother. Her mother having past away in just a few months after the death of her husband and the father being in ill health, going to California, she and her son moved to Chicago to be with her brother while he was in school. Since then she has resided in that place being anxious to give her son a good education and herself being an instructor in music. She was united in marriage to B. B. Tschischeck, June 17, 1909 who has been continuously at her bedside during her 7 weeks illness. She leaves to mourn a broken hearted husband, one son, an aged father, two brothers and a host of friends. A short funeral service was held at the Cuthbert residence on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning the body was taken to Bellmore where it was laid by the side of her husband.
TURNER

Lucy Turner died on Tuesday, the 30th, about 7 a. m., after a long illness of spinal disease, aged 14 years. – Rockville Republican, August 31, 1881
Mrs. Lawrence Turner died, suddenly, at the home of her parents in Bellmore, July 21. She had been quite sick for several months, but was able to ride out up to, and including the day she died. An able funeral discourse was conducted by Rev. H. 0. Bratton at the church here; many were the floral tributes which covered the grave at beautiful Mt. Moriah cemetery. – Rockville Tribune, July 26, 1905
