YOWELL

Harry Virgil Yowell, young son of Marion and Rosa Yowell, was born in Rosedale, May 25, 1913, and died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Barnes, where he had been since the death of his mother about a month ago, age 4 months and 12 days.   How sad it seems to follow a young and tender child to the grave. While we know that he is now smiling in the presence of his Creator, and free from his pain and suffering, yet it is hard for us to say it is well.  Today we can see him in our imagination, with his mother and loved ones enjoying himself in a world free from care, while we are left to mourn and weep for him.   He leaves to mourn, the father, four brothers, three sisters and a host of relatives and friends, who have become attached to him during his short stay with us.  - Rockville Tribune, October 21, 1913

Mrs. America Effie Yowell, age 81 years, died at 12:05 o’clock Monday afternoon at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mason Feuquay near Rosedale.  Besides the daughter, she is survived by a son, Thomas of Detroit, Mich.; a daughter-in law, Mrs. Morris Yowell; two brothers, John Albright of Rosedale and Thomas Albright of Brazil; two sisters, Mrs., Sarah Callis and Mrs. Henrietta Adams, both of Rosedale; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. - Rockville Tribune, June 17, 1942
