Date: 1918-07-23; Paper: Fort Wayne News Sentinel Death of Ellen P, Alcott Ind, July 23 Ellen P. Alcott, Wife of Charles L. Alcott of Jackson township, Steuben county, died of pneumonia at the farm home on Jackson prairie, Monday afternoon, at the age of 77 years. She was a daughter of Stephen A. and Mary Campbell Bowers, who located in this county In 1837. The deceased is survived by her husband and a son, Frank, who lives In the old home, and a daughter, Mrs Emily Johnston of Chicago. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, at the home, with Interment in the Jackson Prairie cemetery. |
