Ind. Sent to Camp Shelby, Miss.; assigned to Machine Gun Company, 3rd
Infantry, (Company C, 139th Machine Gun Battalion). Embarked for
overseas October 6, 1918. Died of pneumonia October 12, 1918, on board
transport.

First Lieutenant. Overseas in August 1917; assigned to Company E, 166th
Infantry, 42nd (Rainbow) Division. Fought in Luneville Sector,
Champagne-Marne Defensive, Aisne-Marne Offensive, and St. Mihiel Drive.
Gassed; died of pneumonia February 13, 1919. Buried, Loir-et-Cher,
Blois, France.
