The Unthank family came to America
about 1780 from Yorkshire England to Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Thence to
Guilford County, N.C., thence to Richmond (or Wayne County) Indiana.
The
name Unthank means 'House by a pool" or 'on the tank.'"
