Legalizing Independent District Of Carl.

H F 414. An Act to Legalize the Organization and Acts of the Independent School-District of Carl Village, consisting of Territory in the County of Adams, Iowa.

Whereas, At an election held in the village of Carl, Adams county, Iowa, on January 21, 1882, it was unanimously decided to organize the village of Carl and contiguous territory into an independent school-district; and,

Whereas, Doubts have arisen as to the legality of said organization and election, because of the insufficiency of the notice given of said election and organization; therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa:

Section 1.

That the organization and acts of the independent school-district of Carl village, consisting of the southwest ... "' quarter of section nine (9), the southeast quarter of section eight (8), the west half of section sixteen (16), the east half of section seventeen (17), the west half of section twenty-one (21), the east half of section twenty (20), the north half of the northwest quarter of section twenty-eight (28), and the north half of the northeast quarter of section twenty-nine (29), all in township seventy-three (73) north, of range thirty-three (33) west, Carl township, Adams county, Iowa, be and the same is hereby declared legal, binding, and valid in the organization of said district, and the election of its officers, the same as if the law had, been fully complied with in said organization and election notices.

Section. 2.

This act being deemed of immediate importance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the Iowa State Register, a newspaper published in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Adams County Gazette, a newspaper published in Corning, Adams county, Iowa, without expense to the state.
