City / Town Name Changes Columbus to Capoli An Act to change the name of the town of Columbus. Name Changed Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the the State of Iowa, That the name of the town of Columbus, in Allamakee county, be and the same is hereby changed to that of Capoli. Sec. 2. This act shall be in force from and after its publication according to law. Approved Jan. 8th, 1857.
