Divorce papers filed in Clayton Co., Iowa Seeking information on 1st marriage. Hi, My name is laura crowther. I am the decendant of Henry lincoln Hall whose first wife was named Isabella Bromler.. She went by Bell Hall. They were married in Newaygo co. Michigan. in 1882 and she is listed as being 20 years old born in Newville, Indiana which is right on the border of Indiana and Ohio. They were married for 8 years when she claims in the divorce paper that he abandoned her, very believable since he didn't stick around to help his 2nd wife much with the 13 children that they had. Any way she filed for divorce in 1892 in clayton county iowa. We know nothing more about this poor lady if she had children with Henry or if she remarried or when she died etc. You can add the information that i gave you to your knowledge base to see if anybody else knows anything about her. lauracrowther3@comcast.net
