Adel, Iowa

An attempt was made to rob the vault of the county treasurer’s office at Adel, Iowa, Wednesday night. The burglars pried open an iron shutter and entered through a window. They drilled a hole in the vault door and attempted to blow the door open, but the drill had broken off in the hole and the charge failed.

G. H. Hill & A. J. Kronke

Perry - G. H. Hill, who has been the chief dispatcher for the Milwaukee company at this place for a number of years, has resigned and his place was taken today by A. J. Kronke. Mr. Hill will remain with the company, working as one of the trick dispatchers on the west end.

Mrs. Otis Randall

Mrs. Otis Randall committed suicide with poison at the home of her father-in-law near DeSoto. Her husband is principal of the school at Malcom.
