
| Mrs. George McMillan Bottineau Woman Makes Fatal Error Mrs. George McMillan Dies Herald Special Service. Bottineau, N. D. April 14—Mrs. George McMillan, wife of one of Bottineau’s popular business men, died today as a result of taking wood alcohol by mistake. Suffering from a severe toothache, she took what she thought was medicine to relieve it. The doctors arrived too late to save her. The couple had been wedded only a few months and were living most happily. The husband leaves tomorrow with the remains for the old home at Ruthven, Iowa. (Grand Forks Daily Herald, Grand Forks, North Dakota, Published April 15, 1909) Henry Odesa A Mother’s Agony Henry Odesa, a child of four, was drowned on the 18th, in his father’s well at Estherville, Iowa. His mother was found by the neighbors standing at the bottom of the well, holding her dead and bruised child in her arms, demented by grief. (The Critic, Washington D. C., Published September 24, 1872) William Ruthven The many Boise friends of William Ruthven of Emmetsburg, Ia., will be pained to hear of his death which occurred in that city August 8. Mr. Ruthven died suddenly from peritonitis. He was 62 years of age and was a prominent citizen of Iowa. He leaves three brothers and two sisters.
