Mr. Whitney was born in Ohio March 12, 1835. Mrs. Whitney was born in Indiana November 8, 1834. Both settled in Grundy County in 1854. Mr. Whitney died April 25, 1900; she died March 18, 1894.

He is Mayor of Stout. He was born in Wisconsin June 29, 1871, and settled in Grundy County October 1, 1876.

Mr. Hersey was born in Massachusetts in 1845; Mrs. Hersey was born in New York in 1843. Mr. Hersey came to Iowa in 1864, Mrs. Hersey in 1854. Both settled in Grundy County in 1868.

Mr. Jensen was born in Denmark April 26, 1840; Mrs. Jensen was born June 7, 1842. They settled in Grundy County in 1896. Mr. Jensen is a blacksmith and President of the School Board.
