Hamilton County, Iowa City / Town Name Changes Newcastle to Webster City An Act to change the name of Newcastle to Webster City. Change Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa, That the town of New Castle in Hamilton county, Iowa, be, and the same is hereby changed to that of Webster City. Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication according to law. Approved January 29, 1857.
