Alvina Pederson returned home from Ames Tuesday having spent Monday night with her sister at the Ames Campus. Jim Albright of Cedar Rapids, called on P. G. Pederson Friday. John Olson and Jim Jensen of Jewell, visited P. G. Pederson recently. Mrs. Emily Christenson was a Webster City caller Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Ben A. Anderson and Mrs. P. J. Christenson of Rake, were recent guests at the Mrs. Emily Christenson home. Clarence and Donald Christenson, Peter and Raymond Frette, Wilmer and Ray Hanson were passengers to Webster City Friday. Jerome Pederson visited over the week end with his aunt, Mrs. Sherman Sunnes. Miss Marguerite Paulsrud arrived home Thursday of last week, having visited her friend, Miss Rachel Vangness a few days. C. R. Thompson was a Jewell caller Saturday evening, Mrs. S. S. Swenson is visiting at the home of her son, Hartwick, and family, at Huxley. Elmer Christenson, Magnus Olson and Archie Olson were Story City callers Saturday evening. Peter Moe was a Jewell caller Saturday. Peter Frette and Clarence Christenson spent Saturday evening at Jewell. Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Okland and children were guests Sunday at the P. J. Qkland home. Selmer Stevenson was a Story, City caller. Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moe and Beatrice spent .Sunday afternoon at the John Tweed home. Miss Harriet Maakestad spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Maakestad, at Algona, last week. Mrs. Maakestad and daughter, Harriet, were Sunday guests at the J. N. Peterson home. L. E. Nelson was a business caller at Story City last Thursday evening. Mrs. Maakestad returned from her trip to Minneapolis and Algona last Thursday. The Misses Grace Arnold and Hazel Mendell were Des Moines shoppers Tuesday and Wednesday Misses Nellie Littlefield and Rachel Vangness shopped in Des Moines Saturday. Miss Hazel Mendell left Friday for her home at Dows. She returned Monday. Elmer Johnson was a caller at the J. K. Johnson home Saturday. J. K. Johnson and A. A. Burke are the delegates from Randall that attended the Farmers Grain Convention at Fort Dodge last Wednesday. Harris, Carl and Jordan Johnson visited at the A. C. Henderson home last Sunday. Chris Matson was on the sick list Sunday. Harris Johnson was a Story City caller Wednesday. Carl Sparboe and son were south bound passengers Tuesday morning. Olavia Hia visited with her friend, Hilda Olson Sunday evening. Raymond Hanson and Raymond Frette spent Sunday afternoon at Jewell. John Sparboe was a Webster City business caller Tuesday. Alvin Myron and Orville Gere, visited their friend, Arnold Tweed Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Matson and daughters, Lily and Grace, and Mrs. E. G. Boyd and daughters, Pearl and Dorothy, of Story City, visited Sunday at the A. C. Matson home Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Burke and son, Clemence, were Story City callers Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Sunnes were recent visitors at Jewell. Iver and Andrew Lund of Jewell, were recent business callers at Randall. Word was received here that Mandus Teig held a closing out sale, March fifth, at Winnebago, Minn., and will, quit farming. Robert Kalseim recently went to Chicago with a carload of cattle. Enroute he will visit relatives at different points. Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Thompson were guests at dinner Sunday at the home of the latter's parents, The annual school election was held in the town hall Monday, March 10th, from 1 o'clock to 6. J. H. Sparboe and T. G. Pederson were elected directors; and Miss Lulu Seymour was elected treasurer. 95 ballots were cast. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Perringer are the proud parents of a baby boy born March 7th. Name, John Elison. Miss Agnes B. Tangjerd of St. Paul. Minn., lectured at the Elim church recently. She spoke about the Jewish Mission and what they are doing to bring Jewish people to Christ. It was worth while going to hear, and we hope at some time she will favor us again. Carl Larson returned to his home at Kenyon, Minn., after a weeks visit with relatives at Jewell and Randall. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thompson and children spent Thursday of last week at the H. B. Hanson home. Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Willson were recent guests at a six o'clock dinner at the home of Mrs. G. A.
