Relief of Certain Residents of Harrison County An Act to secure certain persons, residents of Harrison county, their homes, at the price of $1.25 per acre, of lands known as the excess 500,000 acre grant. Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa, That certain persons, hereinafter named, be permitted and are hereby entitled to purchase of this State, at $1.25 per acre, such lots and parcels of land as are described opposite their respective names, to-wit: Daniel Brown, the s w ¼, sec. 18, tp. 79, range 43. Isaac Bedsaul, the e ½ of n w ¼, section 33, tp. 80, range 43. Oliver M. Bedsaul, the e ½ of s e ¼, and the e ½ of n e ¼, sec. 28, tp. 80, range 43. Isaac F. Bedsaul, the w ½ of n e ¼, and the w ½ of s e ¼ , sec. 28, tp. 80, range 43. A. W. Locking, the w ½ of s e ¼, and n e ¼ of s e ¼, and e ½ of s w ¼, sec. 7, tp. 79, range 43. Wm. McDonald, the w ½ of s e ¼ , and s w ¼ of n e ¼ , and e ½ of n w ¼ , sec. 18, tp. 79, range 48. John Mathews, the s w ¼ of s w ¼ , of sec. 7, and n w ¼ of n w ¼, sec. 18, tp. 79, range 43, and the n e ¼ of n e ¼, sec. 24, tp. 79, range 44. Ezra Vincent, the s e ¼ of s e ¼, sec. 7, and the e ½ of n e ¼, and n w ¼ , sec. 18, tp. 79, range 43. Josiah Crum, the n w ¼, sec. 28, tp. 80, range 43. John Thompson, s e ¼ of s e ¼, sec. 12, tp. 79, range 44. Matilda P. Ratliff, the 40 acres on which she now resides. Provided, That such designated persons, who wish to avail themselves of the benefit of this Act, do so within one year after its passage. Section 2. And be it further enacted, That the payments on said lands, when purchased according to the provisions of this Act, shall be at the time and in like manner, as provided by law, for the payments on other school lands in this State. Section 3. All Acts, or parts of Acts, inconsistent with this Act, are hereby repealed.
