Jones County, Iowa City / Town / Township Name Changes Pierce township to Wyoming An Act to change the name of Pierce township, in Jones county, to Wyoming. Pierce changed to Wyoming. Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa, That the name of the township of Pierce in Jones county, be, and the same is hereby changed to that of Wyoming. Sec. 2. This act to take effect from and after its publication in the Iowa City Republican, and the Eureka, a paper published in Anamosa, in Jones county, without expense to the State.
