Mr. Tom E. Rhodes, who represents the Pilger Grocer Company of Burlington, Iowa is among the clever salesmen in his lines, and can count on a good trade over the CBQ road. He had happiness depicted all over his countenance a few days ago by the advent of a girl baby that his good wife presented him. This being the third heir and the only girl makes Tom spend all his spare moments at home singing baby lullabys. When away from home, on his trips, he sometimes puts in a little time catching wild turkey. During a drive from Derby to Woodburn several weeks ago, he had to cross a bridge in going through apiece of timber about 10:00 at night. It being very dark and foggy, he had no trouble in making a sneak on a fat gobbler, that sat on the railing of the bridge.
