THE OBITUARY OF

Eliza Jane (Rishton) Allton

Eliza Jane (Rishton) Allton, 89, a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs, died Thursday night at her residence, 20 E. Washington Avenue. Mrs. Allton was born here in 1854 when the settlement was known as Kanesville, her parents having arrived from England in 1849.

She is the widow of John W. Allton, Civil War veteran, and a member of the Broadway Methodist Church.

Surviving is one daughter, Miss Winifred Allton. Funeral will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Woodring Chapel, Rev. Louis Watson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The body is at Woodring Funeral Home. (Sec. I, Lot 34, 1854-April 22, 1943)
