THE OBITUARY OFIrwin Jefferson Alton |
IRWIN JEFFERSON ALTON, 72, retired farmer of Polk, Nebraska, died Friday afternoon at the home of his son C.E. Alton, 3561 Avenue E, after an illness of one week.
Mr. Alton was born in Illinois. He was brought here when seized with illness a week ago.
He is survived by three sons: C.F. Alton of this city, E.E. Alton of Polk, Nebraska, and W.H. Alton of Griswold, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Younger of Omaha; one brother J. Alton of Milo, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Pete Peterson of Red Oak, Iowa, and Mrs. Annie Andrews of Portland, Oregon. He also leaves four grandchildren.
The body was removed to Cutler's funeral home and funeral services will be held from Cutler's Chapel Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. John H.P. Lucas of the First Christian Church officiating. The body will be taken to Polk, Nebraska for burial.
