Carrie M. Ardell, 91, mother of Municipal Court Judge Allan Ardell, died Wednesday at a local hospital after a short illness. She resided at 834 Filmore Avenue and was the widow of John Ardell. Mrs. Ardell was born at Dubuque and came to Council Bluffs in 1914. She attended Broadway Methodist Church.

Surivors include: two sons, Judge Ardell and Edgar Ardell of Middletown, Conn; daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Lukken of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Charles Datisman and Edward Datisman both of Waupeton; two sisters, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Tischauser of Waupeton and Mrs. Clara Helwig of McGregor; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
