LINAS CALEB BALDWIN, aged 79 years, one of the pioneer residents of Council Bluffs, passed away Monday evening. Mr. Baldwin had been a resident of this city for thirty-one years and was well known in business as well as social circles. He was a native of Youngstown, Ohio and was married in Belle Vernon, PA, in 1862 to Miss Alice Boyl.

For the past five days the deceased had been suffering from heart trouble, which resulted in his death about 8 o'clock Monday evening at the family residence 603 Willow Avenue.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.C. Beer of Yonkers, New York, and Mrs. James Tyler of Chattanooga, Tennessee and one son, Robert C. Baldwin, in the government service at Manila, P.I. Mr. Baldwin was a native of Youngstown, Ohio and came to Council Bluffs from Pittsburg, PA in 1879.
