THE OBITUARY OFHerman Basch |
Herman Basch, 60, member of one of the early pioneer families of Pottawattamie County, died Monday at his home, Route 1, McClelland, Washington Township. Death was from a throat illness.
Mr. Basch had been a resident of McClelland for twenty five years. He was a farmer. The Basch family has lived in the township since the civil war. Mr. Basch was affiliated with the St. Paul's Evangelical Church of Dumfries.
Surviving him are his wife, Lydia, one son, Emmons and three daughters, Miss Grace and Irene Basch, and Mrs. Walter Huelle at home; two brothers, John and Fred Basch of Council Bluffs, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Drinkuta of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mrs. Carrie Weber of Cameron, MO, and Mrs. John Young of Council Bluffs. There are three grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at the residence with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Washington Township. (Section C, Row 10, December 27, 1873-June 18, 1934)
