Belknap Cemetery is located about 3 miles west of Oakland and 21 mile north of Highway 6. According to a Warranty Deed recorded 26 October 1882, Mr. D.C. Jackson and wife sold 2 acres for $50.00 to the Burial Association of Belknap Township for a cemetery. On 21 May 1934 a Warranty Deed was issued to the Trustee's of Belknap Township. At the present time Dale Bolton, Grant Harris Sr. and Boyd Nilan are the Trustee's of Belknap Township. Marshall Cooper is the sexton.
