Mrs. Rebecca Jane Benson, age 56 years died Sunday morning at the family home in Garner Township. She had been a sufferer from cancer for the last seven years and has been very poorly since last December.

Besides her husband, J.W. Benson, she is survived by three daughters, Minnie A., Anna B. and Violet E., all at home. She is also survived by two brothers, Henry Page of this city and J.H. Page of Logan, IA, and two half brothers, John Page of Boomer Township and John Newton of Shelton,Nebraska, two sisters, Mrs. Tim Ryan of Missouri Valley, and Mrs. Severt Rief, Jr. of this city and two half sisters, Mrs. L.C. Brackett of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Dorcas Amos of Missouri Valley.

Mrs. Benson had been a resident of Pottawattamie county all of her life and of Garner Township for the last eleven years. She was married in this city March 25, 1885, and had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ L.D.S. for thirty nine years.
