THE OBITUARY OFNadine Blumer |
Nadine Blumer, 57, 212 Marion Avenue, died Monday at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a teacher at Bloomer School and had taught in the Council Bluffs Public School system 37 years. Mrs. Blumer was born in Atlantic but had resided in Council Bluffs since she was three months old. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, received her bachelors degree from Cedar Falls Teachers College and her masters degree in education from the University of Omaha.
Survivors include: husband, Clarence; stepdaughter, Mrs. Allen Veirling of Overland Park, KS; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Skodsholm and Mrs. Alice Ellsworth both of Council Bluffs and two grandchildren. Mrs. Blumer's mother, Mrs. Margaret Lykke died December 2, 1968.
Services for Mrs. Blumer will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cutler Chapel. The Rev. Moore Bell, pastor of Bethany Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
