THE OBITUARY OFCaroline Bock |
Caroline Bock, 75, survivor of the Sioux Indian massacre at New Ulm, Minnesota, in 1863, at which time her father was killed in the defense of the village, died Saturday afternoon at her home, 1501 Madison Avenue, after an illness of three days.
Mrs. Bock was born in Germany and had lived here since 1869. She is survived by her husband, John C. Bock, four sons, W.E. Bock of Omaha, H.G. Bock, Oren L. Bock and Arthur Bock of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Dahl and Mrs. Rose Sears of New Ulm, MN, and August Kroeger of Albany, OR. She also leaves twenty grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery. (Sec. 3, Row 23, May 8, 1849-January 25, 1925)
