THE OBITUARY OF Billy Caldwell

BILLY CALDWELL, Chief of the United Nation of Ottawa, Pottawattamie and Chippewa Indians, died at Council Bluffs, on the 28th of September, 1841, in the 60th year of his age. He was considered an intelligent and high minded gentleman, and had unanimously been called to preside over the nation.
