Mrs. Etta (Parkhurst) Chapman's Estate Bequests

Aside from a few small legacies left to relatives, the entire estate of Mrs. Etta P. Chapman, valued at $50,000, will go to her adopted children, Stella and Frank W. Chapman.

Included in the property is the brick residence of the Chapman family at 1535 High Street, about thirty houses in Council Bluffs held for rental, a farm of 150 acres in Hazel Dell Township, mortgages and school bonds. The two heirs will share equally.

Mrs. Chapman was the widow of Dr. O. W. Chapman, who died two years ago. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Artie L. Barnes of Vicksburg, Michigan, who is a beneficiary of the will to the extent of $500. Mrs. Emma Chapman of Bedford, Michigan, a sister-in-law, gets $300, and a like sum goes to the decedent's own brother, C.R. Parkhurst of Oswego, NY.

The executors named in the will are G. G.Baird and Jacob Sims. The instrument is dated on December 31, 1904.
