John Clark, 86, residing north of council bluffs, died of old age last night at 6:30.

He is survived by three sons, Alam J., John T., Henry J., and two daughters, Mrs. S.A. (Rachel) Winchester of Garner Township and Mrs. William H. (Henrietta) Wright of Hazel Dell Township. He is also survived by a brother and sister living in England.

Mr. Clark came to this country from England in 1851, living for a short time in New Orleans. Two years later he came up the river with his wife (Rachel) in a boat as far as Keokuk, Iowa, and traveled overland with an ox team to Council Bluffs.
