Word was reported here Wednesday that Lance Cpl. William Clark, 19, son of Mrs. Carl Harrington of Council Bluffs has been killed in action in Vietnam. According to a report written to The Nonpareil, the Marine sustained multiple fragment wounds to the body from a hostile grenade while in a defensive position in the Quang Nam Province of Vietnam. Clark was graduated from South East Park High School at Runnells and joined the Marines from there July 1, 1969.
