THE OBITUARY OF

George H. Crisp

George H. Crisp

George H. Crisp, who was seized with a stroke of paralysis Wednesday afternoon in Omaha, died yesterday afternoon shortly after 4 o'clock at his residence, 361 North First Street. The deceased was employed as an inspector at the Union Pacific freight house depot in Omaha under the Western Weighing Association. It was while sitting in the office of Manager Trumbull of the association that he was stricken. He was removed to his residence in this city, but at no time since the attack has he gained entire consciousness. The doctors from the first saw that there was no hope for his recovery and that his death was imminent at any moment.

Mr. Crisp was shot during the war at Gettysburg through the right lung and the doctors are of the opinion that this was the primary cause of the attack of paralysis. The funeral will take place this evening at 6 o'clock, services being held at the house by the Rev. L.P. McDonald of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Deceased was a member of the Union Veteran Legion, Uniform Rank, Knights of Pythias, St. Albans Lodge No. 17, and of Beach Camp, M.W. of A., Omaha. The funeral will be attended by the members of these different associations in a body. Interment will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. (October 22, 1845-August 1, 1896, Sec. 2, Row 17, Co D 10th U.S. Inf.)
