PETER H. DEGIS died at 3:45 Tuesday morning at his home, 610 Garden Street. He was 40 years of age and death resulted from paralysis. He conducted the barbershop in the Neumeyer Hotel building for many years.

He is survived by his widow, mother, Mrs. Nicholas Degis of Portsmouth, Iowa, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Vicarius of Carroll, Iowa, and Miss Mary Degis of Portsmouth; eight brothers, Frank, Jacob, John, Nicholas, Jr., Henry, Joseph William and Michael.
