Esther Dollen, 73, of Minden died Sunday at a Council Bluffs hospital following an extended illness. Born at Neola, she had resided most of her life in the Minden-Neola area. She was a retired clerk for the former Joe Smith Co. of Council Bluffs, and member of the United Church of Christ at Minden. Mr. and Mrs. Dollen observed their 52nd wedding anniversary June 2.

Survivors include: husband, Elmer; three sons, Harold of Council Bluffs, Gerald of Minden, and James of Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Bintz of Royal Oak, Michigan, Mrs. Irene Bell of Roseberg, Oregon, and Mrs. Mable Harvey of Eugene, Oregon; three brothers, Herbert McCauley of Los Angeles, California, Wayne McCauley of Roseberg, Oregon and Dale McCauley of Warren, Michigan and three grandchildren.
