THE OBITUARY OF

1st Lt. Thomas G. Downs

The body of 1st Lt. Thomas G. Downs, 24, Underwood, who was killed in combat in the Euopean Theater of War, August 27, 1944, will arrive in Council Bluffs Wednesday and taken to Woodring Funeral Home. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Downs of Underwood. Neola American Legion post will be in charge of the military services.

Funeral services for Lt. Thomas G. Downs, 24, Underwood, killed in action in World War II, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Woodring's Chapel, the Rev. R.F. Howard of Bethany Presbyterian Church officiating. Neola post of the American Legion will conduct military rites at Downsville cemetery near Underwood. (1919, 1944, Sec.
