Clara Mott Thomas Ewing, 74, widow of James Ewing, died Friday of complications at a hospital in Oregon following an illness of several months. Mrs. Ewing was born in Pottawattamie County and had resided here and Norfolk, NE, before going to the west, where she lived with her son at Dayton, OR.

She is survived by one son, Lloyd C. Galer of Dayton; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hewitt of Valentine, NE; three brothers, Leonard Mott of Norfolk, George Mott of Grand Island and Fenton Mott of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Rilla Higgins of San Jose CA, and Mrs. Nellie Clark of Mitchell, SD, and six grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Downsville Cemetery at Underwood.
