JOHN FRANKLIN FLOWERS DIES;

HAS 80 SURVIVORS

John Franklin Flowers, 75, 1738 Avenue F, died Thursday at a local hospital after being confined one day. Mr. Flowers has 80 immediate survivors.

A retired farmer, he was born in the Wheeler Grove neighborhood near Macedonia. He had been a Council Bluffs resident many years. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include: widow, Lydia, seven sons, Roy and Richard of Council Bluffs, Earl of Lincoln, Neb., Raymond of Lamoni, Jess, Everett and Duane of Cody, Wyoming; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Chambers of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Marguerite Sedam of Douglas, Neb.; stepson, Lee Hanson of Council Bluffs.

Five brothers: Richard, James and Nephi all of Lamoni, Jess of Clearwater, Neb., and Harry of Eldorado, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Lilliam Gamet of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Mabel Gamet of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Etta Denton of Hot Springs, S.D.; 41 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Woodring Chapel. Elder Charles Putnam will officiate. Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
