THE OBITUARY OFMrs. Lydia Alvira Flowers |
Mrs. Lydia Alvira Flowers, 86, resident at a local rest home died there Tuesday after several weeks illness. Born at Macedonia, she resided most of her life in Council Bluffs. She was the widow of Frank Flowers who died in 1958. Mrs. Flowers was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include: eight sons, Lee Houser of Villisca, Earl Flowers of Lincoln, Neb., Jess, Duane and Everett Flowers, all of Cody, Wyoming, Raymond Flowers of Lamoni, Ray and Richard Flowers both of council Bluffs.
Two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Sedam of Indianola, Neb., and Mrs. Mildred Chambers of Council Bluffs; four brothers, Sylvester Frain, living in Colorado, Clarence Frain of Council Bluffs, Ernest Frain of Lincoln and John Frain of Macedonia.
Two sisters: Mrs. Viola Houser and Mrs. Mattie Roberson both of Macedonia; 42 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Woodring Chapel. Elder Wilford Brown of the Persia RLDS church will officiate. Interment will be at Cedar lawn Cemetery.
