THE OBITUARY OFJohn Henry Ford |
John Henry Ford died at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital Friday evening at 8 o'clock, after a brief illness. Mr. Ford has been a resident of Council Bluffs and Omaha for forty years and is a member of the colored Masonic fraternity. He was a member of the Private Dining Car Association, had been employed in the service for several years and was employed by the Burlington in this capacity when taken ill.
He is survived by a brother, Philip Ford of this city; his foster mother, Mrs. Fannie Founton, and four half sisters, Mrs. Martha Wilson, Mrs. Anna Frazier, Miss Agnes Fountain, all of this city, and Mrs. Anna Capers of Omaha.
The body was removed to King's parlors, where it will remain until the hour of the funeral, which will be Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rev. J.P. Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The colored Masonic lodge will attend in a body.
