Lena Gabler, 72, 121 Vine Street, was pronounced dead on arrival Monday at a local hospital, following a heart attack at her home. Mrs. Gabler was born at Heilbronn, Germany, and came to the United States 44 years ago. She has lived in Council Bluffs 39 years. She was the widow of the late Gustav E. (Gus) Gabler who operated a bakery here, and the mother of the late Gustav Gabler, Jr., a commercial airline pilot in Minneapolis, MN. Mrs. Gabler was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.

Survivors include: daughter, Mrs. Helen Wood of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren; and a brother and two sisters living in Germany.
