THE OBITUARY OFAndrew Gatrost |
Andrew Gatrost, 47, Logan, IA, farmer, died late Thursday night in a local hospital of blood poisoning. Three weeks ago, Mr. Gatrost while driving stock carried in his hand a board with a sharp end. He stepped in a hole, lurched forward and the sharp edge of the board penetrated his thigh. He was brought to the hospital Thursday night. He was a member of the Christian Church at Logan.
Surviving him are his widow, seven brothers, Alvin of McClelland, Elmer of Underwood, Ira of Council Bluffs, John of Alma, KS, Forest of Marfa TX, William of Missouri Valley and Frank of Persia, IA; six sisters, Mrs. H.G. Schmaedecke and Mrs. Ricker of Underwood, Mrs. E.D. Allen of Council Bluffs, Mrs. W.H. LeValley of Logan, IA, Mrs. Elmer Finch of Meeker, CO, and Mrs. H.D. Walden of David City, NE.
Services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Woodring Chapel, Rev. C.C. Davis of Logan will officiate. Burial will be in Downsville Cemetery.
