Jane Giles, colored, 109 years, 3 months and 3 days, died at 4 a.m. Thursday from the infirmities of age, after a week's illness. She had made her home with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ida Giles, 1319 Avenue C.

She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Jane Turner of this city, and Mrs. Emma January of Frankfort, Kansas, and one nephew, Henry Sims of Mason City.

She was born in Virginia, and has been a resident of this city for forty years.
