THE OBITUARY OFSam Gray |
A sudden fatal attack of influenza caused the death Friday evening of SAM GRAY, an aged man living alone in Boomer Township. The man was found at the roadside by Dr. Sigafoos, who was driving to Council Bluffs in his car. He was hurried to the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in this city, where he died soon after entering the ward.
Mr. Gray was 66 years old and had been employed by William Roberts, a farmer. He has a widow living in Smithland, Iowa and several children. His body will be sent from King's parlors to Smithfield, Iowa, Monday for burial. (Both town names Smithland and Smithfield were used in the obit.)
