Benedict Hagg

BENEDICT HAGG, aged 57 years, died suddenly Thursday evening of apoplexy at his home, 19 Frank Street. Mr. Hagg had been ailing for a week, but his illness was not thought serious. Thursday evening he left his bed and attempted to cross the room, when he fell to the floor. Dr. Cole was summoned, but death occurred as the doctor arrived.

Mr. Hagg was born in Council Bluffs and had lived here all his life. He was a member of the local lodge of Elks.

He is survived by a mother, Mrs. Louise Bock of Des Moines; two sons, Robert Hagg of this city and Frederick Hagg, in camp in California; a half sister, Mrs. H. H. Geahl of Des Moines and four half brothers, Charles C. Bock, Council Bluffs; William C. Bock, Racine, Wisconsin; L.H. Bock, Omaha, and C.W. Bock, Newton, Iowa.

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence, 19 Frank Street, the Rev. Wilford E. Mann of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating.

Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
