THE OBITUARY OF

Dr. Sophia C. Hall

Mrs. Dr. Sophia C. Hall, one of the first superintendents of the W.C.A. Hospital and prominent in the work of that association until her retirement from active life about fifteen years ago, died at the home of her son, Harry T. Hall, 359 North First Street. She was eighty five years of age and death was due to infirmities of old age, the end coming after a decline of seven weeks. The funeral will be held from the residence on North First Street under the direction of Rev. James O'May. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Hall was superintendent in charge of the W.C. A. Hospital at the time the association purchased and occupied the old McMahon property on Sixth avenue and was a member of the hospital staff. About fifteen years ago she retired from active life and has since made her home with her son. She was a regular and devout member of the Methodist Church. (no gravestone)
