JOSEPH HEADLEE died at his home in Avoca, Sunday morning, October 1, aged 78 years, 9 months and 13 days.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Ramsey officiating.

Joseph Headlee was born in Pennsylvania and came to Iowa when he was 25 years old settling near Avoca where he lived until his death.

He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his loss.

Mr. Headlee had not been feeling well for some time but was able to be up and around. Saturday evening he was taken to his bed and died Sunday morning.

Friends extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
