Frank J. Heck

FRANK J. HECK, 79, 1024 Eight Avenue, died Monday at a Council Bluffs hospital after a long illness.

A native of Gary, Indiana, he moved from Silver City to Council Bluffs 65 years ago. Heck was a retired carman for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and the Brotherhood of railway Carmen.

Survivors include: widow, Blanche; four stepsons, Dan, Oval, LeRoy and Richard Shea all of Council Bluffs; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George Walsh of Brookfield, Missouri and Mrs. Arthur Kline of Trumbull, Nebraska. Two foster sons, Delbert and Robert Heck both of Dallas, Texas; a foster daughter, Mrs. Virginia Kurth of Council Bluffs; 24 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.

Services are pending at the Beem-Belford Chapel.

Funeral Mass

Funeral Mass for FRANK J. HECK, 79, of 1024 Eighth Avenue, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas J. Costin will be celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Rosary recitation will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Beem-Belford Chapel.

Heck died Monday at a local hospital after an extended illness.
